Eduardo René Ulibarri Bilbao
Eduardo has a degree in collective communication sciences from the University of Costa Rica, with a master’s in journalism from the University of Missouri-Columbia and having been a NiemanFellow at the University of Harvard. He is an international consultant in sociopolitical analysis and communication strategies, a university professor and columnist for the daily newspaper La Naciónin Costa Rica, for which he served as director from 1982 to 2003. He is a professor at the School of Collective Communication Sciences at the University of Costa Rica and at the recently created LEAD University. He received the Missouri Honor Medal for Distinguished Service in Journalism from the University of Missouri (1989), the Maria Moors Cabot Prize from the University of Columbia (1996) and the Costa Rican National Journalism Award (1999).
