Jorge Alberto Volio Pérez
Jorge holds a master’s in business administration with an emphasis on finance from the National University of California. He has conducted courses in executive education on investment banking and real estate finance at Harvard Business School, the University of Chicago, the New York Institute of Finance and INCAE Business School. After a successful business career of 15 years, in 1998 he founded the first investment banking firm in Central America, then Volio Capital and now Volio + Partners). He is currently a partner in Volio + Partners and the manager of investment banking for E3 Corp. Previously, he was general manager of Promérica Bank and corporate director of the Bantec Group. He was also president of the Chamber of Private Banks of Costa Rica and a member of the boards of directors of the Costa Rican Union of Private Sector Chambers and Associations (UCCAEP, Spanish acronym), the National Concessions Council and the Foundation for Sustainable Development (FUNDES, Spanish acronym). Throughout these past 18 years of practical experience, he has made a significant contribution to the development of capital markets and real estate in the region, playing a key role in the consolidation of banking, tourism, health, food and beverages and commercial properties industries through transactions of mergers and acquisitions.
