Pedro León Azofeifa

A graduate in biology from Baylor University in Waco, Texas, with a specialization in biology and chemistry, Pedro has actively participated in the Costa Rican environmental movement since its beginning at the end of the 60s and demonstrated leadership as president of the Association of Biologists. He has also been president of the Board of Directors of the Organization for Tropical Studies (OTS), a consortium of universities in Costa Rica and the United States.
Currently, he has returned to the National High Technology Center and collaborates with CONARE’s State of the Nation, is a member of the Board of Directors of EARTH University and president of the CAATEC Foundation, a group of experts that analyze the scientific development of the country and the region. With his colleague, he has published more than 60 scientific works.
